We track publicly reported TREC exam pass-rate data, course formats, and access terms for Pre-Licensing, SAE, and Continuing Education providers across Texas — and we apply the same scoring to every school listed, including our own.
Texas requires 180 hours of TREC-approved Qualifying Education before you can sit for the state exam. Click a column heading to sort. Sales Agent pass-rate and exam-count figures are sourced from TREC’s Exam Passage Report for 12/1/2023–11/30/2025. Format, access window, and pricing figures are still placeholders — see notes below the table.

Sales Agent exam pass rates and exam counts (Passed / Taken) for the reporting period 12/1/2023–11/30/2025, sourced directly from TREC’s Education Provider Exam Passage Rates report. Data pulled 2026-10-26; re-check before publishing since TREC recalculates this monthly. Per TREC’s own advertising rule (§535.65(c)(1)(C)), any pass-rate percentage used in advertising must be shown with the exam count in equal prominence — which is why both appear together here.
‡ Allied Real Estate Schools no longer independently offers Texas pre-licensing courses. Their own site now states they’ve partnered with Colibri Real Estate to deliver Texas pre-licensing — see Allied’s page for the verbatim quote and source link. That’s why they don’t appear in TREC’s pass-rate report under this name.
All course access windows shown above are confirmed directly on each provider’s own site (Champions “up to 10 years,” AceableAgent 1 year, Colibri/The CE Shop/Kaplan 6 months) — checked 2026-10-26; re-verify before publishing since terms can change.
Beyond the headline pass-rate number, these structural factors affect real outcomes for students. We apply this lens evenly to every listed provider.
A pass rate built on a few dozen exams can swing wildly month to month. Providers that test larger, more consistent volumes of candidates produce more statistically reliable pass-rate trends.
Online-only self-paced formats work well for highly disciplined, independent learners. Hybrid formats (in-person, live-stream, and online) add a fallback for students who get stuck on dense legal or math concepts.
Shorter access windows (often 3–6 months) can force a renewal purchase if life gets in the way. Longer windows reduce that risk but may cost more upfront.
Pre-licensing is only the first 180 hours. Texas also requires Sales Agent Apprentice Education (SAE) before your first renewal, plus ongoing CE. Providers that bundle this pathway reduce the chance you have to shop for a second or third provider.
